    i dont think its a crayola box. lots of crayons come in yellow boxes. that box doesnt have crayola's trademark yellow and green color

    yeah you can. lol But I also have to agree with palmateer, its not a crayola box. And also green and yellow boxes dont mean its from crayola. Go onto google and put green and yellow boxes its not just crayola (as you can see) I think you just think that cause its with "crayons" and well your just very quick to judge aren't you? :o

    penflare, I just dont understand why these guys dont get banned? its clearly against the community guidelines to use something you dont own or did not create, yet I see it all over this site, from the same people, and not much seems to be done about it :(

    This is posted in the rule guidlines for designers:
    # Make sure it's yours!

    Make sure the work you are submitting is your own and that you are legally entitled to post it. If you are using any stock images in your design, make sure that you inform the contest holder that they will need to purchase licenses.

    I did tell the contest holder that the crayon box needed to be paid for (liscence) I mean if they liked my design.

    Also, it never occurred to me that crayons didn't come in boxes, so that is why I used the stock image (which has not yet been purchased, hence you see the lines through it. Since it states in the rules that we can use stock images in our designs, I didn't consider it stealing someone else's work.
    Penflare, you recently told me not to quite my day job, well you know nothing about me, like I am a disabled person, mostly confined to my home. Trying to come up with these designs is a joy to me and helps me fill up my days with purpose. While I have not been able to have the high tech education you boast about, I still like to try.

    hello intrepidguppy your concept #86 looks a lot like mines and a little #85 also . That isn't very sport. Try to find some other concept that is what designers do.That is the challendge for every designer. I understand drawing a globe is the first idea that comes to mind and the CH had put it in here brief, but I don't think I saw about a hot air ballon of a rocket for exemple.

    damn i havent seen designers complain about similar ideas as much as this contest, yall are a bunch of whiners. if someone copies your idea it was probly cause it was good dont complain about it be appreciative, and make something better than the person who copied you. its that simple.

    Thank you josetrejo :o), I haven't finished polishing up my design, they were rough (and it is writing on it) to show the concept to the CH, I am working on it, and it is going to be crayons.There is still 3 days left.:o)by the way I am a Lady

    To answer to your debate, :o) I don’t have the same point of view. It’s too easy to go and copy other concepts. Imagine if every designer starts going in each contest and start copying the best-rated designs and the good concepts, well that wouldn’t be fare. Unless if the CH demanded in his/her brief that he or she would like to see such thing as for example a horse and that everybody start designing his own horse. Or if the brand name is bird and that everyone designs his own kind of bird.
    Sometimes when I am viewing contest, I noticed that I had the same concept in mind as someone else, but I check before if any one submitted it before designing. And if the same concept I had in mind was submitted, then I go and look for another contest or find another concept that is challenging. And I think that there are many contest on 99designs. Doing a design and finding a concept is 2 different things.
    I think I debated enough :o)

    Intrepidguppy, wao very conceptual answer, were did you copy that one from. Or should I say are you one of the Montgolfiere brothers.
    Oh by the way the Mongolfiere brothers and the other inventors took their time to search for Intrepidguppy ideas in january and copied ;o)

    I do not know you; you surly have qualities of integrity that I will not deny.
    But I find you didn’t’ t have it her on this particular contest, especially after writing this to the CH “Idea...I noticed some others submitted similar designs. This particular entry was created for another client some time ago. It is original.”
    So, you knew what you were doing, and you prepared your defence, expecting maybe such a debate on your action. And after participating to 744 contests, I suppose you were expecting such a reaction from me. And one contest isn’t another.
    I think you were the one suppose to be asking me if it wasn’t a problem and not the contrary. You are changing the roles here. So I am suppose to be asking you and I am the one ripping you off in January. Date, which I didn’t even know about 99designs. I’ am not saying that the designs I made for “Crayons without borders” was the best idea ever, I know very well that people have similar ideas especially you after doing so many designs and that sometimes if it didn’t work in one contest, the designer suggest his concept or design to another which is similar.
    Definition of integrity: honest, just, incorruptible, impartial, …
    My way of seeing integrity as a designer on a contest: if someone has integrity, such as you say you have, the first thing is to see if the concept in mind wasn’t ready suggested, (noticing what you wrote to the CH, you did noticed that I submitted before you the same concept) or to ask the other designer if they don’t mind.
    As a conclusion, I think I am finish talking to you, because besides showing yourself off, thinking that you are such a laugh, and that you think that your answers are the most conceptual, you seem not the type to accept your mistake, and such a person will continue to defend him self, in sinking even more with insults.

    @A78 I apologize for any offense my comments have given - they were uncalled for. However, I have demonstrated my integrity/honesty/impartiality in public and in private both here and elsewhere. I do not feel I need to make a defense, but since you continue to push the issue with you public comments I am submitting a more detailed response.

    As I said in my comments, I indicated that I recognized, your design as an entry an that my design created long before yours. You just happened to attach yourself to this contest earlier than I. If the CH does not comment your design before I submit, then we are on an even playing field.

    If your design had received comments, I would not have submitted mine because I would then be taking advantage of your possible success. I will be able to use my design perpetually as I see fit as long as it fits the criteria above. That is my set of principles and you may attack them as you wish, but that does not make you right.

    And please, let's not forget your own flippant comments regarding Montgolfiere...so please spare me your self-righteousness.
